As a part of this community, our priority is doing what we can to help protect our guests and the general public. We are transitioning to a carry-out only format during our regular business hours, based on recent government mandates.
We are also implementing alternate hours during this time. We will be closing at 8 instead of 9 and are adding a Monday 4-8 shift to help fill a need we see here in Franklin. We will reassess this schedule on a week by week basis and post updates as changes occur.
The dining area and bar will be closed until further notice. You can now place orders for crowlers over the phone. In an effort to limit contact, we request all orders be placed prior to your arrival at (603) 333-1439.
Please be aware that we are keeping an eye on developments and are following CDC recommendations in the following ways:
We are following the CDC recommendations and asking coworkers to wash their hands using high friction, warm water, and soap for at least 20 seconds.
We are refraining from handshakes, high fives, and hugs to avoid spreading germs.
We are diligently communicating and training our teams on health and safety procedures.
We are asking team members to refrain from coming in to work if they show any symptoms or fever.
We’re sanitizing high-traffic areas (i.e. door knobs, sink handles, POS systems, tap handles, etc) frequently.
As this is a fluid situation, we may have to take additional steps, such as reducing hours or closing all together, depending on state, federal, and CDC recommendations.
With all we know so far about COVID-19, we are making the difficult decision to close our brewery for the time being. We care a great deal about this community and the people we have come to know. We feel that the socially responsible thing is to do our part to protect our guests, our families, and our employees. We will be closed until at least April 6th. There is a lot of uncertainty right now, so this really is something that could change day to day.
We have some planned upgrades and maintenance that we have been looking for time to do in preparation for summer, so we will make use of this time to do so. We are still brewing, including a Brown Ale that will be ready soon and an American Rye that is in the works. We’re also brewing more Tallman and Mill City. Please keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram for updates.
We would also like to take this opportunity to once again thank you all. We have received nothing but support and love and we CANNOT wait to open again. Please take care of yourselves, your families, and each other and do your part to keep everyone healthy. We all have a role to play and we will get through this together.
In the meantime, please support local breweries and businesses that choose to remain open.
You guys really knocked it out of the park today! We actually went through most of the dough for tomorrow. Because our dough takes time to do its thing, we’re going to alter our hours tomorrow to conserve resources. We will be open 4-7. Once again, thank you for being awesome!
Starting tomorrow (01/09/20), Vulgar Brewing Co will be offering our full menu…TO-GO! Enjoy some apps, a pizza, and salads in the comfort of your own home. Grab a crowler for yourself or one to share with a friend, when you pick up your food. To order, just give us a call at 603-333-1439.
Since 2013 the Ales For ALS Project has been donating hops to participating breweries across the country. Those breweries make a beer with that unique blend and create a beer to sell. Vulgar Brewing Company is proud to be one of the breweries involved in this project and is giving back $1 per pint sold to #endALS. To learn more about how you can help with ALS research please visit Ales for ALS.
So, new on tap today, in honor of Lou Gehrig, please welcome… Biscuit Pants American Pale Ale! It comes in at 5.5% ABV and has notes of stone fruit and citrus.
We will be closed Thursday, November 28th so our staff can spend time with their loved ones for Thanksgiving.
But don’t despair! We will be open Wednesday the 27th from 4-9pm! Bring in your out of town family or come have a beer in anticipation of all that togetherness.
Of course we will reopen on Black Friday. Those of you who treat holiday shopping as a contact sport can recover post-shopping, and those of you who actively avoid stores can hunker down with us and bask in the quiet.

We have added a delicious oatmeal stout to the line up. All you dark beer lovers, your day has come and it is good. Werewolves Not Swearwolves is the most complex recipe Damon has ever created. It has so many layers of roast, chocolate, toffee, raisin, coffee…I want some now! The name is in honor of the film “What We Do in the Shadows.” Have you seen it? Ya should!
Our first day open is Saturday, October 12th from 11-9. We will also be open Sunday from 11-7. Monday is Columbus Day and we will be open from 11-6. We will not usually be open on Mondays at first but since this is our opening weekend and a holiday, we figured why not.
