Next Phase of Reopening

As many of you know, New Hampshire has entered the next phase of reopening, meaning restaurants are able to open for limited indoor seating, with social distancing measures, mask requirements, and other precautions in place. After much discussion and careful consideration, the four of us have decided to delay opening our inside dining area for a couple more weeks.

We care about this community and the health of everyone in it and have chosen to move forward for the time being with only outdoor seating. We have been pleased with how patio seating is going so far and are working on ways to implement additional dining space for peak times to be able to seat more groups at a time.

As we continue with outdoor seating, we will continue to follow the state guidelines regarding maximum party size (6) and spacing of individual parties (6 feet apart). We appreciate your continued cooperation and support as we continue to figure things out as we go. This is definitely not how we envisioned our first summer in business, but we’re determined to make the best of the cards we’ve all been dealt.

As a reminder, we do ask that you respect our efforts to keep our staff safe by wearing a mask when checking in and being seated. You’re welcome to remove the mask when seated (trust us, eating pizza with a mask in place is a recipe for disaster!). Should you need to get up from your table to use the restroom, please put your mask back on. And once you finish and prepare to leave, you guessed it, please put your mask on.

Wearing a mask isn’t about politics or making a statement. It just shows that you care about our health and that of our servers, your fellow patrons, neighbors, and friends. And it virtually eliminates embarrassing social gaffes like spinach in your teeth. So it’s basically a win/win.

Once again, we can’t thank you enough for your support. We love being a part of this community and we will get through this together. Stay tuned for updates.

Current hours of operation:

  • Monday-Wednesday: CLOSED
  • Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm
  • Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm
  • Saturday from Noon to 8:00 pm
  • Sunday from Noon to 7:00 pm

Fall may get all the attention here in New Hampshire, but Summer here is honestly glorious. Starting Monday, May 25 you can bask in the sun while you enjoy beer and pizza on our patio!

We require all guests to wear a cloth face mask any time you are not seated to help protect our staff and fellow patrons. A mask will be required to enter the building to use the restrooms as well. If you do not have one, we can provide a disposable mask.

In keeping with state recommendations, we are limiting seating and ask that you add yourselves to our wait list to cut back on groups gathering while waiting to be seated. Individual parties will be seated 6 feet apart, and the maximum number for each party is 6 individuals, including children.

We will text you when a table is ready for you, and ask that you come to the overhead doors on our patio to check in.

For our part, we have implemented a number of procedures to help protect the public and our staff.

  • In addition to our normal cleaning and sanitation schedule, we will be doing scheduled cleaning of all work surfaces inside.
  • We will be sanitizing tables and benches after each party.
  • Special attention will be paid to sanitize “high touch” surfaces in the restrooms and entry area.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available near restrooms and in the patio area.
  • Menus will be disposed of after each use.
  • Employees will have their temperature taken and be required to answer a brief series of health questions prior to each shift.
  • All employees will wear masks and certain roles will wear gloves. We will be washing our hands frequently, particularly after handling payment and dishes.
  • While we are accepting cash payments, we do recommend paying by credit card.

We understand some of these changes will take some getting used to. This is a whole new frontier for us as well! We appreciate your patience and cooperation and can’t wait to see everyone in person again.

NOICE! English Brown Ale

During this down time we’ve spent the majority of it improving our kitchen and making sure those garage doors can open this summer while still slinging delicious pizzas. But… we also used this time to bring two new beers to the taps. Today I am pleased to introduce, NOICE!

This is one Noice Ale!

Roasty, toasty, & slightly fruity. Deep brown in color, yet mild and easy to drink.
It’s easy to see why this style is a staple of British pubs. 5.5% ABV with 16 IBUs.

Good News/Bad News (Bad News First)

With all we know so far about COVID-19, we are making the difficult decision to close our brewery for the time being. We care a great deal about this community and the people we have come to know. We feel that the socially responsible thing is to do our part to protect our guests, our families, and our employees. We will be closed until at least April 6th. There is a lot of uncertainty right now, so this really is something that could change day to day.

We have some planned upgrades and maintenance that we have been looking for time to do in preparation for summer, so we will make use of this time to do so. We are still brewing, including a Brown Ale that will be ready soon and an American Rye that is in the works. We’re also brewing more Tallman and Mill City. Please keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram for updates.

We would also like to take this opportunity to once again thank you all. We have received nothing but support and love and we CANNOT wait to open again. Please take care of yourselves, your families, and each other and do your part to keep everyone healthy. We all have a role to play and we will get through this together.

In the meantime, please support local breweries and businesses that choose to remain open.

Change in Hours

You guys really knocked it out of the park today! We actually went through most of the dough for tomorrow. Because our dough takes time to do its thing, we’re going to alter our hours tomorrow to conserve resources. We will be open 4-7. Once again, thank you for being awesome!

Hello Vulgar Friends!

As a part of this community, our priority is doing what we can to help protect our guests and the general public. We are transitioning to a carry-out only format during our regular business hours, based on recent government mandates.

We are also implementing alternate hours during this time. We will be closing at 8 instead of 9 and are adding a Monday 4-8 shift to help fill a need we see here in Franklin. We will reassess this schedule on a week by week basis and post updates as changes occur.

The dining area and bar will be closed until further notice. You can now place orders for crowlers over the phone. In an effort to limit contact, we request all orders be placed prior to your arrival at (603) 333-1439.

Please be aware that we are keeping an eye on developments and are following CDC recommendations in the following ways:

  • We are following the CDC recommendations and asking coworkers to wash their hands using high friction, warm water, and soap for at least 20 seconds.
  • We are refraining from handshakes, high fives, and hugs to avoid spreading germs.
  • We are diligently communicating and training our teams on health  and safety procedures.
  • We are asking team members to refrain from coming in to work if they show any symptoms or fever.
  • We’re sanitizing high-traffic areas (i.e. door knobs, sink handles, POS systems, tap handles, etc) frequently.
  • As this is a fluid situation, we may have to take additional steps, such as reducing hours or closing all together, depending on state, federal, and CDC recommendations.

New – To Go Orders

Starting tomorrow (01/09/20), Vulgar Brewing Co will be offering our full menu…TO-GO! Enjoy some apps, a pizza, and salads in the comfort of your own home. Grab a crowler for yourself or one to share with a friend, when you pick up your food. To order, just give us a call at 603-333-1439.

Ales For ALS

Since 2013 the Ales For ALS Project has been donating hops to participating breweries across the country. Those breweries make a beer with that unique blend and create a beer to sell. Vulgar Brewing Company is proud to be one of the breweries involved in this project and is giving back $1 per pint sold to #endALS. To learn more about how you can help with ALS research please visit Ales for ALS.

So, new on tap today, in honor of Lou Gehrig, please welcome… Biscuit Pants American Pale Ale! It comes in at 5.5% ABV and has notes of stone fruit and citrus.
